Tennis anyone?  Keys Gate’s state-of-the-art Tennis Center is free to all residents. The facility includes four tennis courts, two racquet ball courts and two bocce courts. First come, first serve. Courts are open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. For more information, contact our resident Tennis Pro Matt Porco at 305-230-9770.

Pick the Right Doubles Partner

It used to be said that the best doubles team in the world was John McEnroe and anyone else. While we can’t all play aside a ringer, we do have some say in our selection of a partner, and that’s the first step toward playing good doubles. I feel that the best doubles sidekick is someone that complements you. For example, if you’re an extrovert, try to find a more introverted partner, or vise versa. Your differences in personality will even out your moods on the court; however, this doesn’t just apply to your personalities. Combining players with different playing styles, for example, a steady player with a flashier one, or a left-hander with a right-hander, also works.

I would also like to congratulate the Ladies B-2 Keys Gate team for tying first place in their division. They worked hard all season, and I am very proud of them!

Golf & Club House

Keys Gate’s 18-hole golf course is a privately owned course and is open to the public. Located at 2300 Palm Drive, the course features 6,505 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72.
